Who we are

Eastern Investment Group Holding established in 1993. The group built its foundations on its first venture the Arab Pumps Manufacturing Company a pioneering Jordanian company manufacturing pumps designed for a harsh conditions with high concentrations of salt, sulphur and other corrosive agents. Subsequently, EIGH has grown steadily to become a prominent Middle East investment and business group. EIGH has repeatedly set trends and redefined business’ understanding of just how diverse and adventurous an organization can be.

Being focused on the Middle East, many of EIGH’s projects and expansions have encountered different periods of regional instability. EIGH has thrived however and is adept at negotiating the challenging business terrain of the region.

Empowering Generations Through Business and Philanthropy – Prof. Majid AlSadi’s Journey

Background & Career

Born in Basra, Iraq, Prof. Majid AlSadi earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Coventry University, UK, and became a successful businessman. After the Iran-Iraq war, he advised humanitarian organizations and built industrial trade networks, later founding Eastern Investment Group Holding (EIGH) in Jordan.

Cross-Cultural & Philanthropic Efforts

Prof. AlSadi fosters ties between the Middle East and the West through cultural exchange programs and university scholarships. He is a major donor to charities like the Mineseeker Foundation and the Al-Aman Fund and launched the AlSadi Changing Lives Program in 2012 to connect British students with Jordanian youth.

Leadership & Economic Impact

As the leader of the Iraqi Business Council since 2006, Prof. AlSadi has strengthened Jordanian-Iraqi economic relations, overseeing over $14 billion in investments and trade, further enhancing regional cooperation and development.
