JATS has just completed its new hi-tech simulator building at their QAIA premises, which will be home to two new simulators, the B737NG and Embraer 170/190. These two simulators will be installed in October 2010 and will be commissioned for training at the beginning of January 2011. This ultra hi-tech building will also accommodate offices, classrooms for briefing and de-briefing sessions and a canteen. In addition, the retired B707 simulator (one of the first B707 simulators invented in the1950's and previously used by the Royal Jordanian Training Center), will be showcased in the magnificent lobby, symbolizing bridging the cross-over from the ‘old’ to the ‘new’ simulator technology.
