Amman, Jordan (March 2010) – Four Italian Captains all with JAA licenses, who followed successfully an Airbus A320 Simulator Type Rating at JATS, had their A320 Type Rating endorsed on their licenses by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority in recognition of JATS as a JAA approved TRTO.

Those same captains were also recently assessed successfully by Bahrain Air at JATS and accepted to follow condensed A320 Line Training in Bahrain and employment as Captains with Bahrain Air.

As a result, more Italian Captains and First Officers will be taking their A320 Type Ratings at JATS starting April onwards in addition to the courses for Italian Pilots which have been conducted earlier this year.

This major development will encourage European Pilots with JAA licenses to conduct their Type Ratings at JATS as a JAA Approved TRTO following the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, and also the UK Civil Aviation Authority endorsement of Type Ratings conducted at JATS. It also opens the door wide for all airline companies implementing the JAA regulations in the Middle East, Europe, Far East and far beyond to conduct its training at JATS with no restrictions.
